Beaches are undoubtedly one of the most popular tourist spots to visit in the summer in Pattaya Thailand. There is nothing better than to relax by the sea and relish in the feel of the sun against one’s skin. Known worldwide for its majestic rolling beaches, the city is located only a couple of hours away from Bangkok, and is perhaps the epitome of a tropical paradise. Pattaya beaches are famous for being clean and wide, with almost twenty to forty meters stretch of sand. Open from 7 am until dark, umbrellas, and deck chairs and tables are available for roughly 20 baht each. Vendors sell items as varied as fried prawns to large, fresh oysters, to even on-the-spot Thai massages, all for affordable prices. Tourists are invited to spend their day relaxing on the beach and taking in the water, go for a dive or take up extreme water sports, or go island hopping in any of the boats waiting nearby for just that opportunity.
Relaxing in Pattaya beaches are not the only activities to be done in the resort town, however. Pattaya Park has picnic areas, swimming pools and whirlpools suitable for family outings, and the Underwater World allows visitors to enter a tunnel and catch a glimpse of exotic marine life. The Siriporn orchid farm holds a wide variety of orchids from all over Southeast Asia, and the Wanasin farm sells Thai handicrafts for souvenirs, holds cultural shows several times a day, and even has a boat museum. Shopping malls are frequent in Pattaya with great bargains, and even more are under development.
While Pattaya by day is peaceful and relaxing, Pattaya by night is a whole new different story. The Pattaya nightlife is just as famous as the Pattaya beaches, but for a different reason altogether. Crowded with bust nightclubs and discos, tourists are treated to music, singing and dancing, and even get to watch a round or two of muay Thai, Thailand’s favorite sport, or - for the more daring adventurer – a foray into go go bars which contain alcohol and dancing girls. Anything goes during the Pattaya nightlife.
Pattaya Thailand is just the place for anyone with a strong sense of adventure and a love for something new. In between exploring the many beautiful beaches, enjoying a busy night out, or simply curling up by the sea with a good book in hand, Pattaya is all about having fun, and having a good time – and expect to find much of it throughout the city.
